I need some help. Whenever I convert a psd file to jpg it comes out more than a stop brighter than the original. I probably changed a setting inadvertently but for the life of me I don't know how to fix ... How do you compare the two? Are you displaying both files with PS, ... Yes I am opening as a PSD and saving as a JPEG.

If I open a single layer psd file in CS3 and then select 'Save as' I do not get any option to save as jpeg or any other 8 bit file format. However, if I go to 'Save for web & devices' the jpeg option is there and this then automatically...
