Right now I would suggest a daily multivitamin and good nutrition, but please do not eat dirt or clay because this is going to block absorption of iron and minerals into your body.

Did eating the dirt or starch cause the anemia or did the anemia cause the craving to eat something odd? Never did figure that one out. We usually treated them by taking away the dirt, administering iron and getting a psych consult.
