Sure could use some help on this. My CDr/w hard drive returns the message D:/not accessible - incorrect function when I click on it. When I attempted to install a program from a cd, I also received this message. However, I have no problem playing audio cd. I have Nero Burning Rom;

If the CD-ROM is on the same cable as your hard disk it should be jumpered as a slave and the hard disk jumpered as a master (and with a slave present, if there is such a setting). Be sure the CMOS Setup does not have the drive for which the CD-ROM is configured disabled.

Have IBM CD-RW/DVD Model GCC-424. Has stopped recognizing new unformatted CR-ROMs. Gives error "D:\ is not accessible."Does read files from other formated CD-ROMs. Tried resolution suggestions. I not longer get the error message.
