Our test procedure involved changing no hard parts except the two styles of Dart heads. With both the iron and the aluminum, we ran sweeps to find the best total ignition timing, thinking perhaps the differing heat-retention characteristics would require different timing settings.

I think thats a good idea. Perhaps we can include the material the heads are made of as well. As I understand it, thats just as important as thickness. ... Here is a cross section of the Dart head.

Depending on which cam and heads. If you are talking the Comp Cams XE 224 cam and the Dart Pro 1 ... Which Dart heads? Man, flip flopping. Keep the intake runner volume low for low end efficiency, since you're only doing a 355 and you want to get only into the 12s. You also want to putz around with some decent mpg, IIRC.

Hey guys I'm putting in a 350 and the fan switch and temp gauge sensor will not thread in to the dart heads. Is there an aftermarket sensor I can use ... I say this because my other car at the time was a 73 chevelle and my dad had a 78 corvette, and I think the sensors from those matched up with the dart heads.
