I've been looking around for help, and people seem to get freaked out when their PF Usage is at like 110 MB. My PF Usage is at around 5.80 GB at max, and programs begin to crash! The computer with the high PF Usage has become pretty much unusable (I'm using a different computer).

Hello, I did a lot of searches on Google regarding PF Usage (or Pagefile). Everyone says to get more RAM to use less virtual memory. Most of those discussions are very old though and refer to 512MB of RAM as being a lot.

If you decrease the size of either the initial or maximum paging file settings, you must restart your computer to see the effects ... when viewing my computers task manager ..........the PF usage there is almost 100 this makes my PC work a real slow .... why is the PF usage is too much ??? i am not playing a game .....well just uses WMP , a downlaod acceralater ,messenger and broswer ......well are ... Here is something you can do to keep track of the page file usage with System Monitor. Once completed and running you can analyze the data using the prescribed formula (in the article) to increase or decrease your page file.
