The .NET login is used for MSN Messenger. If several people use a machine and sign into MSN Messenger then their email addresses may be added to the dropdown list presented when you come back and login later. How to delete email addresses from that list for privacy reasons is not obvious.

1) If you cancel your MSN account, someone can later on claim that email address, and potentially receive emails which were meant to be sent ... Therefore, in case you want to get rid from your Hotmail, my suggestion is not to delete your MSN account, but just to stop using it. ... Is it wise to delete your MSN email account ?
