Dew point - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The dew point is the temperature to which a given parcel of air must be cooled, at constant barometric pressure, for water vapor to condense into water. The condensed water is called dew. The dew po...

Dew points indicate the amount moisture in the air. The higher the dew points, the higher the moisture content of the air at a given temperature. Dew point temperature is defined as the temperature to which the air would have to cool (at constant pressure and constant water vapor content) in order to reach saturation.

Dew forms by condensation on surfaces when the air is cooled to its dew point temperature ... Dew point temperature is the temperature to which is cooled to bring it to saturation. Dew point temperature is determined by the amount of water vapor in the air.

Dew Formation; When the surface temperature reaches the dew point temperature, dew will form. Note that dew does not fall from the sky. Water vapor, like other gases, moves at sonic speeds and continually strikes the surface.

What is the dewpoint temperature? ... The dewpoint temperature is the temperature at which the air can now longer hold all of its water vapor, and some of the water vapor must condense into liquid water. At 100% relative humidity, the dewpoint temperature and real temperature are the same, and clouds or fog can begin to form.

This is a measure of the moisture content of the air and is the temperature to which air must be cooled in order for dew to form. The dew-point is generally derived theoretically from dry and ... If the dry-bulb temperature is the same as the dew-point, the air is said to be saturated and the relative humidity is 100%.
