I have had my doubts for some time. A pastor/friend of mine once brought it to my attention. That day, when he explained why he didn’t believe Jesus descended into hell, I didn’t quite understand his explanation. But since that day, I have pondered if the Bible even says that it is true.

The Bible does not say teach that Jesus went to Hell as you know it. No one has gone to Hell yet, not until after the Great White Throne Judgment will anyone go to Hell. There is a word that is often translated as Hell that is not the same Hell that you know, but is the Greek word Hades, the Hebrew word is Sheol.
