I'm not aware what a personal data assistant is, but I know that notebooks are generally thinner than laptops, but other than that, they're obviously the same.

I'm still waiting for some company to make a Powerbook-like PC notebook... ... Hopefully, the Centrino will help illustrate the difference between a true mobile CPU vs. a desktop one.
