I asked him the diffrences between the two I knew the BDL was more of a semi-custom grade but I wanted details. ... As I understand it the difference in the ADL vs. the BDL is mostly cosmetic. Remember the old 788 Remington for years it was one of the most accurate out of the box rifles, and it was Remington’s cheapest.

The ADL and BDL have been available since the beginning, the BDL just being a little 'prettier' than the ADL with no real world differences. The ADL was dropped a few ... The most noticeable difference between the Remington and Savage is on the recoil end. The Savage kicks like a mule, while the Remington is much softer.

You are right about the difference between the ADL and the BDL but you have not done a price check of late for the parts to convert an ADL to BDL. From the Brownells #52 catalog the cost for the parts to convert is $113.43 plus shipping!!
