Thru is a very modern shortened version of through> and means the same thing. However, in formal writing such as papers and important letters, "through" should always be used.

Through is the correct spelling. Thru is just an ugly Americanism. The both mean the same.

"Yes, there is a slight difference, although most people (and even many dictionaries) treat them the same. Continually means repeatedly, with breaks in between.
