What is the difference between hieroglyphs and petroglyphs? Maybe I should have stuck with the parsley thing. This one turned out to involve not just petroglyphs and hieroglyphs, but also ideograms, pictograms, phonograms, logograms and a bunch of other stuff that just confused me.
