I'm really glad I found this site! ^_^ Petticoats are expensive too! Nice ones, at least. Although I have to confess, used the pattern for the skirt part of a dress instead of making an actual petticoat. >_> ... 6. You should read all of these directions through first, before starting on yours.

I have no idea how to make a petticoat, ... RE: making petticoats ... The directions I found said to divide the total length of the skirt by 3 and this plus enough for seams and waist would equal the length of each tier. Then it said to use 2 "widths" of fabric for the top tier, 4 for the middle tier and 6 for the bottom tier.
