My husband and I have a very loving relationship but he has a psychological need for discipline. If I did not provide it I am sure he would go elsewhere. I suspect this need dates back to puberty and to the public school system.

My 3 year old son can be a little out of control sometimes and my husband feels the right way to discipline him is by putting him in his room and tieing the door nob to another so he cant get out my son spends 15 to 20 min in their at a time and if that does not work then he spanks him.

The Bible states that the man is head of the wife ... If a wife disobeys her husband than she is subject to not only God's disapproval but her husbands as well. Discipline does not have to be physical. I know plenty of women are required to write scriptures over and over until their husbands have made their point.
