When I rebooted my computer with windows ME, I got a blank screen with the text ; "Disk I/O Error ; Replace the disk and then press any key." ; Please,I need to fix this now, I am a college student, and have tons of work on the computer, I need it up and running asap.

I used my windows 98 startup disk. The startup disk was working fine but when i went to format the c: it stoped working. So now i have no A: it just says: Disk i/o error Replace the disk, and then press any key. Any ideas on how to get back to a a promt?

•help chose a 24" LCD display to replace my 19" crt ... ok i think this might be the problem. is this a motherboard problem or hard drive, i partitioned and formated this drive so the drive should be fine, this error is coming up when i try to install window 2000. other harddrives just freeeze up when tried.
