Hi, im 35, and i had my partial hysterectomy when i was 27 i think, maybe 26, was long ago. They left me with one ovary, and ive not been examined since then . I still have PMS and mood swings. Endometrial polyps are growths of uterine lining tissue that do not shed off with the monthly period and can cause abnormal bleeding. They can be removed during a D&C, but tend to grow back. A laparoscopic hysterectomy removes the uterus so that this cannot happen again.

I had a partial hysterectomy 14 years ago in which my ovaries were saved. How will I be able to tell if I am beginning menopause (or perimenopause)? My insurance does not cover the blood test to tell what my hormone levels are, so I am at a loss ... You won't know when you have actually hit menopause which is the last period.
