There are two different ways to "seal" tile. You can seal the grout joints and you can seal the tile itself. Which you need to do just depends on the type of tile you have. There are different products for each job.

Sarah, We'd like first to know what type of tile/stone you're talking about. I think it's important to seal, but depending on your product, you may need to seal only the grout. Easy, but follow the label. You'll get more help from others, reply with the type of covering you're dealing with.

How many coats of sealer did he apply after the tile was grouted? I seal the tile and grout with as many coats as need to seal the surface. I consider a floor sealed when the sealer repels itself. At least two good coats or more after grouting.
