As a hairstylist/owner, I would rather see someone go out happy and tell everyone than not. Do not assume everyone can afford the service and a tip on top, and when a tip comes your way appreciate it.

Yes, you should tip the hairdresser. Clippers, scissors, razor, it's all the same. 15% is the minimum, 20% is better. Round up to the nearest dollar. My mother (may she rest in peace) always insisted that you don't tip the owner.
