I had a lot of nosebleeds when I was a kid. For kids, this can happen for various reasons - dry weather, an injury, nose-picking, allergies. My nose would start bleeding out of no where - ... does getting your nose cauterized hurt, i have had six nose bleeds since sunday and i want to get it done but i am really scared..

Well I just got my nose coterized (I think thats how you spell it) and it started to bleed again. Well to fill you in you get your nose coterized when you keep on haveing bloddy noses ... So I did it yesterday, and it hurt like hell, and it started to BLEED again! Have any of you done this? :confused: Discus :confused:

It took longer than I expected to feel healed up from the cauterization. I was never debilitated, but my nose hurt on and off for days, and not just at the cauterization site.

I've only had tylenol and aspirin a couple times in my life, and have never really been on any medical drugs - unless I was in some emergency setting such as during my nose cauterization when I had pain killer.

Last year he went to an E.N.T. and he suggested a nose cauterization. We went ahead and did it and it almost stopped them completely, for awhile. In the past couple of months he has started getting them more frequently and a little longer.
