Hey Guys, I managed to somehow make a very slight scratch in the glass bed of my scanner. It is not too deep at all and definitely does not stop your fingernail when passed over. What are some methods used to remove scratches from glass? ... Toothpaste will indeed work, Brasso is more effective however and much faster.

I've been in the glass restoration business for over 15 years and we are also a distributor for SRP Scratch Removal Systems. Our system is for excess scratches that are very deep. As far as using tooth paste, I doubt that would even start to remove scratches in glass, but if your going to try, start with ULTRA BRIGHT.

I would not use toothpaste on tinted glass, only the untinted side. Scratches, Stains, And Discoloration In Glass and Mirrors; Toothpaste. Rub a little toothpaste into the scratch.
