Light scratches in glass can be removed by buffing with toothpaste. Use normal toothpaste, and not "gel" types, which contain coarser grit. Apply toothpaste to the scratch, remove excess with a razor blade, let dry, then buff with a cloth.

I've been in the glass restoration business for over 15 years and we are also a distributor for SRP Scratch Removal Systems. Our system is for excess scratches that are very deep. As far as using tooth paste, I doubt that would even start to remove scratches in glass, but if your going to try, start with ULTRA BRIGHT.
