Your poor dog should have been in the vets a long time ago. Dogs don't usually foam at the mouth if they have a bad tooth. Something could be caught in it's throat, or, possible heart problems. As the other poster said it's highly unlikely ...

Is foaming around the mouth normal in dogs? I know it could mean rabbies but my dog seems normal today other then the foaming. A few minutes ago when I came back home from a short walk outside I noticed some blood with his foam but I am assuming thats from the raw meat I fed him just before the walk.

It is important for you to know "foaming" at the mouth is not only caused by the Rabies virus. Dogs will foam when excited, when anxious, ... In essence, the typical image of a very sick dog. The movements of his open mouth seem to indicate that a foreign body has gone into his throat and is choking him.
