60 Minutes had an interesting piece last night looking at the debate over whether or not to lower the drinking age from 21 to 18. I guess I must be getting old as I viewed the scenes of college students trying to drink themselves to death with bemusement rather than the enthusiasm I would have undoubtedly exhibited...

Even if the drinking age was lowered to 16, I think it would be better. I know, in high school, we were not of age to drink... but everyone did. Some people died because of drunk driving. Why? Because no one knew or acknowledged the fact that drinking was going on.
