How do people duplicate items in online games? Computer Science ... What do you mean "duplicate items"??? There could just be a cheat in the game. They could download the game and then modify it. ... this wouldn't work for neopets as everything is kept on the server. As is the way for nearly all if not all browser games....

A couple of years ago, someone claimed that they could do that. It turned out to be a scam - You gave them stuff to duplicate, and didn't get it back.

Dupe Day AKA Duplicate items day is when someone managed to duplicate items on neopets. TNT being very good at what they do for the most part detected this quite quickly and proceeded to freeze any and all accounts with duplicate items.

The members in the guild are quite helpful, though this guild doesn't give you items, it will teach you not only how to make money from stocks, but how to make money overall in NeoPets, and of course I'll be there if you need help.

That's agaisnt Neopets rules and you're scamming someone out of their money. Just because you're not on the Neopets website doesn't mean that Neopets terms don't apply. Duplicating items is illegal and they will detect it eventually.
