This forum is for the discussion of stereos, TVs, VCRs, and other stuff with lots of wires inside. ... Is there anyway to get a stuck video tape (brand new) out of a vcr/dvd player by myself? I know I can take it in someplace that does repairs...but, I bought this vcr/dvd player about 6 months ago from Best Buy...on sale (natch).

I have a PSVR70. I recently got Direct TV and now I can't record anything. I know it's set up right... ... 1. Check to see if a tape is jammed inside (see 284 Extract a Jammed Videotape). 2. Try changing the video input and/or output source. Many VCRs have two ways to receive and send a video signal (coaxial and video direct).

P090303-8: Panasonic PV9661-K VCR. I removed a jammed tape, since then the gear controlling the tape loading/unloading mechanism (with special grooves beneath it) gets out of place, ... Same symptoms using a test jig or actual videotape. ... P73102-10: GE VG4251 VCR, tape gets stuck in the rollers area when ejecting.
