In fact, my eyes hurt but i1 display 2 only shows a value of 28. This was on a two year old Viewsonic VA1703wb LCD monitor which has a rated maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2. I then tried the same thing on my office monitor which is a dell LCD monitor (E198WFP).
