Reading this view of the gift of prophecy also makes Paul’s statement that all should earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy (1 Cor. 14:1), seems to make even more sense. We all as believers need to be ‘listening’ for God’s impressions in our lives, in whatever form they come.
