looked like matrix was going on in my computer and then suddenly it shut down and a blue screen came up and gave me the error message saying, "Page fault in nonpaged area" and something like "*** STOP: ... If i put in the windows XP SP2 disk, after it goes through it doesn't recognize the hard drive. It did last ... re: Page Fault in non page area ... I had the same problem in an HP dc5100 pc. After a long way looking for the problem I saw that the hard drive and the network card were sharin the same irq. I tried disabling the ethernet and no problem anymore. Try this way.

If like me, when you try to re-install after repeatdly receiving this error, and WinXP goes thru the motions, but after the EULA and pressing F8, for no apparent reason the pc restarts, if this behavior goes on, ... "Page fault in nonpaged area" error, usually indicates a severe problem in the system memory.

Just this last time I got the BSOD with the Stop 0x50 PAGE_FAULT... error, which Technet says is either a driver or ... OK agin im not reading anything you put. if you XP delete your prefetch files. re do the page file allowance, 3 time ram. defrag your PC as well. ... • When stuff breaks days after the warranty expired?
