The fierce snake or inland taipan can reach a total length of 2.5 metres, although 1.8 metres is the more usual length. The upper surface of the snake can vary from dark brown to a light straw colour. Dramatic seasonal colour changes take place, with a darker winter and lighter summer coloration.

Inland taipans are also called fierce snakes and can grow up to 10 feet (2.7 meters) although half of that is the norm. This snake changes color according to season. They range from dark brown to straw colored during the year but at winter they go darker and in the summer they go lighter.

Having worked with both, I can tell you that the Inland taipan (fierce snake, western taipan, O. microlepidotus) is definitely a different snake than the eastern Taipan (coastal taipan). Although the fierce has a more toxic venom, the coastal taipan is much more dangerous.

I'm not looking for a snake that's fierce per se but an actual snake that's called Fierce Snake. I know this is a shot in the dark since there are probably not a lot of snake owners out there but might as well give it a try.
