Gillo Pontecorvo’s famous film, Battle of Algiers (1966), was recently released in Italy on DVD. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not available in the United States, which really is a pity, given the current occupation of Iraq and the possibility of further wars of occupation in the Middle East.
