The band got their name from the song, Toiler On the Sea, Their debut album, which was self titled, A Flock of Seagulls, is about an alien abduction with UFO’s on the cover of the album. Frank Reynolds left the group in 1980 and this left only three so the trio kept going as a threesome and they continued on tour.
