I like Spanish moss, too. You don't have to have the perfect spot, you can cultivate it. I used to grow it in south Florida on a tree with lots of other bromeliads. I sprayed water over the tree weekly (if it didn't rain) and added 1/4 strength liquid fertilizer solution during the growing season.
