Does my harddrive need to be formatted in a certain way for the OS to boot up? I have Partition Magic 8.0 and have the capability to format the harddrive even without a boot disk etc. Do I need to put a FAT 32 partition on it etc...?

at the A> prompt I tried your suggestion and typed in "e:\setup" I also tried it with f:\setup etc etc. and I just keep getting the same old "type the name of the command interpreter..." message. Also, I AM now using a win98 boot disk and the initial prompt screen still says "Starting Windows 95..." very confusing to me.

The computer gets to the point where it says "Starting Windows 98" then it hangs or pauses for a real long time. Then I get the message "Type the name of the Command Interpreter".
