Hi, my 99' Cavalier was recently vandalized by a bunch of punks who peed in my gas tank, and god knows what else. The car worked fine for about a week and a half after the incident. When I tried to start my car the engine wouldn't turn over. I'm wondering if the vandalism can be linked to the fuel pump failure.

Kids out for a good time poured sugar in the gas tank of my car. Anything I can do myself to remove sugar from my engine without ... Sugar doesn't disolve in gas but it there is any water present you have syrup, an even bigger problem. If you have vandalism insurance which is usually part of "comprehensive" coverage.
