GETTING MEW THE REAL WAY ... First I went into the trading booth (I was had my old blue version and I was getting ready to trade with my new Silver version in the time capsule). I pressed both the buttons, and it said WATING. Then, you know how you can look at the other person's Pokemon's stats right before you trade?

After beating the Slowpoke Youngster and getting Mew, I decided to try for other rare Pokemon. I flew back to Cerulean, and crossed Nugget Bridge. There was another Youngster I hadn't battled (actually, the one right before the Mew Youngster) because I didn't want to risk messing up the trick.

First of all, Nintendo didn't make this intentionally so that people can get Mew. This is a code, or otherwise a glitch in the game. The only true method of getting Mew is getting Mew directly from Nintendo, from their promotions.

So, you've made it to Mew, congrats! Now, how do you battle this rare Pokemon without getting your butt kicked? Well, Mew is a Psychic Pokemon. So, if you check our Pokemon Strength/Weakness chart, you'll see that Bug, Ghost and Dark Pokemon can cause it heinous damage.
