There's a big difference between being forced to give up your dog and wanting to "get rid of him". If you are honest with yourself the problem will be either people or dog related.

This is probably the most understandable reason to give up your dog, but there may be other options. Turn to your family and friends for help. Your dog will most likely be a comfort to you during your illness, so it will be beneficial to keep him around.

I have no idea what to do. I became very ill and ... Why is it so easy for everyone to just give up their pet when they hit a small bump in their life. You do everything in your power to arrange for you dog to live w/you. If you *have* to move back w/your parents then you should make arrangements at your parents house.
