In Jeremiah 23:24 God declares, "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" What does this mean? ... God is omnipresent. This statement brings as much joy to the godly as terror to the wicked. He is in all creatures and with all creatures as their preserver: in the damned, as their terror; in His people, as their protector.

In addition to those qualities of God, He is constantly present in all places (omnipresent). Psalm 139 gives us some insight into God s omnipresence. We read the Psalmist declaring, Where can I go from your Spirit?

If He were otherwise, He could not be God; as God must always be omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), and omnipresent (always present everywhere), not one attribute without the other and no two without the third.

This means God would be everywhere. And part of everywhere, is everything. Space itself is made up of matter. You would have oxygen, hydrogen, and so on. Hence for God to be everywhere, He would have to be in the objects that are located everywhere, unless He resided outside of all things by surrounding them.
