Great-spurred Violet (Selkirk's Violet) Viola selkirkii Great-spurred violet can be distinguished from other purple violets by this spur and by its hairless petals. Long-spurred violet and Dog violet have long, narrow spurs, and other purple violets in our area have at most a small spur.
