HMS Prince of Wales, a 35,000-ton King George V class battleship built Birkenhead, England, was completed in March 1941. In late May, while still not fully operational, she was sent into action with the German battleship Bismarck and received significant damage from heavy gunfire.

As the trip continued we all felt that it was time to visit Repulses deeper and larger neighbour HMS Prince of Wales. She lies in 66-68 metres of water and although Repulse is rarely visited the POW was 95% undived, a few brave souls on air was the sum of the visits.
