You can make good "rags" by cutting strips from an old cotton T-shirt. Any gel or mousse is fine... I like ARTec products for long hair styling, but definitely use what you like! Let us know how it works out for you. ... and what kind of perm would they use to get big ringlets that are very bouncy?
