There are several scenes in which Hamlet's resolve to kill Claudius become renewed with vigor. The idea that he is to avenge his father's death is first upon Hamlet in Act One Scene Five when Hamlet personally meets the Ghost ( who supposedly is the ghost of his dead father) and he asks Hamlet to avenge his death.

Perhaps someone on the list can tell us the specific value attached to a treble oath, as opposed to a single one.
