According to prophetic and channelled writings, the pole and dimensional shifts are simultaneous (but this may not necessarily be the case-as in all things, discernment of all information is the key). About 5 - 6 hours before the actual shift happens, an extraordinary visual phenomenon should take place.

The polar shift is something that happens every few hundred thousand (maybe million) years or so, basically the poles swap, so what we now know as north will become south and vice versa.

That was on October 24, 2007. No poleshift happens in just one day, but at some point between that date and 2015, the earth will lose its magnetism and we will begin to shift the poles. This span of time is called a 'window of time, ... when humanity was seeded on earth there were no polar caps and no ozone layers ...

The second is the effects, i.e. what happens when the magnetic world is turned upside down. We'll take first ... [17] “Fluctuations in the sun were once correlated with the taste of wine.” [18] In years when certain equatorial winds were blowing from the west, polar temperatures rise and fall with solar activity;

Are you kidding me? Not the 2012 part. I do understand the posibility of a polar shift due to x-class solar flares hitting the earth mutiple times with a short period of time. ... "This always happens around the time of solar maximum," says David Hathaway, a solar physicist at the Marshall Space Flight Center.

If a polar shift is indeed underway, then the clock is running for a massive, possibly permanent weather shift... the same one discussed ... What isn't precisely known is the impact on earth's weather when this happens. If the time jumps are happening, then a sudden shift in pole position could also be an indicator of it.

A pole shift theory is a hypothesis based on geologic evidence that the physical north and south poles of Earth have not always been at their present-day locations; ... This happens either slowly (conservative version) or quickly (radical version). ... Other theories which are not dependent upon polar ice masses include:

I would like to offer another such factor to help with understanding polar shift and the possiblilty of why it happens. How about magnetics? We do ride on a great big electro-magnetic generator. So considering this how many other things in this galaxy of ours have a magnetic charge?

It is speculated that the polar shift may begin around 2012 which would line up with the end of the mayan calendar. Again - just speculation.
