after starting back up i went to that drive in explorer and i noticed the volume label was now gone.. and when i clicked on it i got this error g:\ is not accessible the parameter is incorrect.. i tried chkdsk and it did not work.. ... i also ran a few hard drive tests and they all said my drives were working ok...

i am also having issues with my maxtor one touch hard drive not being read by the computer...i get the same message of "parameter is incorrect" and "i/o device error". i have done the above. but found the get data back is really slow at retaining the data, (taking up to 22 hours)..is this normal??

my hard disk has a problem it was fine up to now but whenever i try and save things to my d: drive it comes up with an error message; <cannot make or replace file. parameter incorrect> i dont know what this means.

However, I *still* can't read from the hard drive on the same channel. The error message I now get when I click on it in Explorer is "E:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect." I have no idea what parameter it's talking about - that's the entire message.
