Early in June of 2003 my wife Jo and I were invited to tour the former West Virginia State Penitentiary located in historic Moundsville, which is roughly 12 miles from Wheeling WV. Our son Eric and his girlfriend Chrissy were going on a midnight ghost tour of the prison and asked us to go.
