It is a shame that someone thought it would be funny to denigrate the noble sport of horse racing by naming their horse Hoof Hearted. That is not funny, sir, it is disgusting. To think of all the respect ... Next, If Mandy Patankin Was a Horse comes in. Bringing up the rear, Ol' Felcher! And that's how the race was run!

It's not uncommon to enter a horse in one race while shopping for another. At Keeneland, the two horses on the also-eligible list would still have been out of luck, because neither could have supplanted Satans Quick Chick in the field, but this is the rub of the green in racing.

I received this email from "Doctor Psi": I remember a British horse race in which one of the entrants was named 'Hoof Hearted'. This horse was obviously named so as to cause the maximum amount of amusement when listening to the commentary!
