I have some scented geranium "Citronella" plants, lemon thyme, lemon basil, lemon grass, etc. but while they smell great, I still have mosquitoes. Actually the best thing I've found is mosquito "dunks". They can be put in any wet places including bird baths without hurting anything except mosquitoes.
