Hello, Please help! My laptop will not turn on. ... Hi, did you ever fix your laptop? mine also acts like a connection problem and wont charge or turn on now it has no battery. It is not the power lead as I have tried another. It was intermitant but has been completely dead for a week now.

If you can always hear your laptop fan when you turn on the laptop and now you can't it's not a video failure, it's a power or mainboard failure. ... Yeah hes right the polrity might mess everything up as far as amps current supplied into a siries circuit could have a bad effect but since laptop are complex parrelel ciruits the current that geos into it is only what the laptop needs not what is being fed ... Now I am thinkin of going back to the States just to fix my laptop.

I took it out (and luckily its the exact same model as my battery and I put it into my laptop and the battery was working fine. I then tried to turn the laptop on with just the power cord but the unit would not turn on.

If the laptop is not being used for several minutes, the laptop monitor will power off. When I come back and move the mouse or press a key, the monitor will light up, but the screen does not return unless you ... laptop monitor does not turn on after inactivity when using nvidia-glx-new ... a fix for this would be nice...
