After reading and searching the board I have learned by increasing the tip length and diameter will provide a DEEPER exhaust sound. I assume I will have to cut the stock tailpipe to compensate for the length of the SS tip.

Bigger, longer tips will make the sound deeper... it may have a slight effect on the sound of your stock exhaust but nothing that'll turn heads. The cheapest way to add some growl to your exhaust would be to swap out your factory muffler with an aftermarket highflow one and add a tip.
