I was able to chmod 777 the shares on sdb, but i cannot chmod the user shares on sda. I try, and receive no error messages. But when i list the dirs, the permissions are unchanged. I even tried creating a subfolder /user2/subfolder and tried to chmod 777 that - with no luck.

Apply CHMOD permissions to a folder that is being hosted by a Windo... ... All pre requisets are ok exept that there is a configuration folder that requires to have CHMOD permissions to 777. I went ahead and tried changing the permisions via FTP but I found out that CHMOD does not work with Windows OS.
