The "hacker" would probably upload the AOL account info program and then run it on your computer. They would then download the send.txt file, which contains the information you filled out. AOL account info will not close unless the information is filled in.

I just hung up from the Customer Service to close my AOL account and was very disgusted with the Rep and how he treated me. If I had any thoughts before of reopening this account in the future, I've now changed my mind to never use AOL again.
