I must be the only person on here who wants to get rid of the spanish moss. I have 5 acreas of land with mostly oak trees on it. Not the live oak, but scrub oak, or as my daddy puts it water oak. I'm not sure the exact type myself, just know their not the live oaks.

So if your property has them, get rid of them. Most water based insecticides such as pyrethrum do no harm to the Spanish Moss or foliage and help prevent infestations. From our farm as I'm sure from most, the moss is pretreated before it comes to our growing sheds and before shipping.
